Beyond is a graphic design magazine, in both printed and digital format.
As a team of four people, we art directed, created content, and designed the magazine.
We set out to create an investigative and trend seeking magazine with a focus on women in the design industry.
We set a color scheme and typography to reflect the clean, cool, and sophisticated feel of the magazine.
Both the visual design and the content drew inspiration from trends spotted in various industries throughout 2017.
The result was a minimalistic and feminine look, with millennial pink as the primary color.
The typeface for headlines was Futura, a geometric sans-serif with a minimalistic expression.
For body copy we used Georgia, for good readability and nice contrast to the headlines.
The signature typeface was Lust, used for both the logotype and page numbers.
